Note: A crisis pregnancy center is NOT a phony medical clinic. They are primarily social service agencies designed to help women through a crisis pregnancy. They offer alternatives to abortion, information on abortion, support groups, clothing and baby supplies, and referrals to organizations within their communities that provide other services such as medical care. Most crisis pregnancy centers do offer a free pregnancy test which is frequently performed by the woman herself. A growing number of crisis pregnancy centers are beginning to offer medical care.
