From the outside, this place looks great. As you can see from these photos,
all of the window "shades" (the blue things) are
still up on every window. Even the canopies are still standing.

Once I found a way inside, I was greeted with the "Hallway of Fallen Lights".
In case you're wondering, the orbs are nothing
more then dust. Down the hall, and another...and I think another, I found
the cafateria. Yes, the lights are actually on. Many of the
lights are on, which really gave the place an eerie feel to it...like the
building was still alive.

Here we have the main lobby. The sign on the right side of the desk says
"Effective Friday May 14, 19--, MCH has Suspended
Emergency Room Services. The last May 14 that was a Friday was 1999. The
second shot is one of the many Nurses Stations.

First shot is of the Main Nurses Station on the second floor. One of the
papers hanging on the wall is the hospitals last
Sanitary Inspection by the Township of Montclair. It was dated July 29, 1997.
This information, along with the sign located in
the lobby, lead me to believe that this hospital closed sometime in 1999.
The right shot is of the intercom/telephone left at one
of the nurses stations.

First shot is what used to be the copy room, compete with the Xerox machine
still here. The next shot
is of the "Billing Department". The desks are starting to show age as they
bend in the middle.

Lastly, we have a shot of the Physical Therapy room, with the stairs used
in many exercises still here. The hallway shot
was actually taken through a door from the outside. The window had a small
hole in it, enough so my camera fit through.
The sign says "This is a Smoke Free Facility".
