New "Hear an Episode" Page! Until now, we offered only a single free episode online. Now, thanks to libsyn.com and the miracle of podcasting, we're offering quite a selection. In fact, in the coming months, we're going to be podcasting studio-recorded and mastered versions of all of our series one episodes -- absolutely free! These are the same episode (in somewhat lower quality, as podcasting requires) that are available on our CDs. Prometheus will not be part of the 40th Anniversary Star Trek Celebration to be held in Seattle, Washington, September 8 - 10, 2006. Plans to wrap the show with a presentation of an original radio play by Steven H. Wilson have been canceled. Steve has voluntarily withdrawn from this project. Miscommunication with the organizers resulted in a script being commissioned and completion requested ASAP. Steve fulfilled this request, only to learn that the cast list was not, in fact, firm, and that the organizers (and possibly some of the actors) had wanted input at the plotting stage, and the produced script was not what they had in mind.

The finished script, Star Trek - Living in the Shadows, told the final adventure of Captain Sulu aboard the Excelsior and included major roles for Uhura, Pavel Chekov, Janice Rand, and Dr. Christine Chapel. These were to be read by the original actors. Steve was working on a last-minute request by Seinfeld's Jason Alexander to add a small Captain Kirk role for him to read, when he and the con organizers decided to cancel the project. Steve is currently considering possible alternative venues for the script. Although we're disappointed, Prometheus wishes the best of luck to PlanetXpo on the 40th Anniversary celebration.

Taken Liberty - An Arbiters Novel! Firebringer Press is proud to announce the release of the first Arbiter Chronicles novel, Taken Liberty, written by series creator Steven H. Wilson.

The story is set between series one and series two of the audio adventures, and covers the Arbiters' first days aboard the CNV Titan. We know -- and so do her shipmates -- that Aer'La is an escaped slave from Varthan Free Space; but now others have found out, and they're not inclined to protect the Bos'n. Even as her friends make plans to help her, a figure from her childhood emerges, determined to take her home.

Prometheus Podcasts Are Here! Prometheus has begun podcasting fifteen minute episodes to be distributed via Radio Memories Network. The shows will feature ten-minute chapters of our radio shows, both studio and recorded-live programs, plus commentary and tidbits from some of our cast and crew. Arbiters on the Air! (Note Changed Dates) Prometheus has signed with Sonic Society to broadcast five Series One episodes on their syndicated "Audio Cinema" program. We'll be heard initially on September 27, and November 29 on CKDU-FM at 2100 EDT. (That's 8 PM, EST.) After that, about a dozen additional stations are signed to re-broadcast the shows throughout Canada & North America.

Another Good Review! SFFAudio.com, a great review site for pretty much all SF and Fantasy audio, has posted a positive review of our first Arbiters episode on CD. There are a few small errors: all episodes of the series are not available on CD, and Paul Balze's name is misspelled. But we're thrilled to be included, and heartily endorse this site!

Arbiters, Granny now available at Amazon.com! Prometheus now has three offerings for retail sale at Amazon.com. In addition to our first episode as a single CD, you can also purchase a boxed set of our first four series one Arbiters episodes (including a special bonus blooper CD!) and "Granny," our first in a series of Southern ghost stories. Of course, these titles are also available directly from us, but We know some customers want the peace of mind that comes from buying from a major distributor.

Works in Progress... We're doing what? A lotta stuff, that's what! The cast is currently in the studio recording Arbiters Series One, Episode Five - "Playing Politics," directed by Steve Wilson. Scott Farquhar, meanwhile, is preparing a selection of Shakespeare's Sonnets, dramatized with music and sound effects. As if that's not enough, Steve has completed the first Arbiter Chronicles novel, Taken Liberty, which is due out this winter from Firebringer books. Prometheus will also be releasing an audio book version (like we wouldn't!) We hope to have a sneak preview on the site soon.
