A BRIEF HISTORY OF TIME

The Days of Creation as Revealed by the Word of God

Jesus Christ is the foundation on which Genesis I rests.[1] In order to receive God’s message in Genesis I, it must be understood from the concept and perspective of Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ, the Word of God, is alive today; therefore, Genesis I is to be perceived as though Christ was speaking to us today. Genesis I is not to be perceived as though it was authored by Moses in days of old.

Through faith in Jesus Christ, an understanding is found in Genesis I that delivers a message regarding Jesus’ work for His Holy Father. This understanding is completely free of scientific scrutiny; it is the Gospel story of Jesus Christ.

Genesis 1:1-5. God the Father with the Holy Spirit of Wisdom[2] created the heaven and the earth on Day One. The heaven and the earth was the Kingdom of God[3] and was made in the spiritual realm, within God’s Son Jesus Christ.[4] Darkness was upon the face of the deep as a result of Lucifer’s sin,[5] and Adam was created to restore "light."[6]

The heaven and the earth had no physical properties,[7] and was a reality for Adam only through his faith in God’s Word. Adam sinned and he lost his faith. He then saw that he was naked of a physical body[8] in an earth that was without form and void. Adam died on Day One,[9] and Darkness remained upon the face of the deep.

Christ became the second man, “the last Adam.”[10] He gave His life for sin, and by His faith there was light.[11] God saw the light, and that it was good. "And behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.”[12] And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Genesis 1:6-8. With the Holy Spirit of Understanding the names of the chosen were written in the Book of Life[13] from the firmament made in Christ. Christ remained dead throughout Day Two, and God did not see that it was good. “And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.”[14] And the evening and the morning were the second day.

Genesis 1:9-13. With the Holy Spirit of Counsel, the chosen were gathered together,[15] and God saw that it was good.  Christ was resurrected from death and became “meat”[16] for man and animal, and God saw that it was good.  And then came “a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand." "A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.”[17] And the evening and the morning were the third day.

Genesis 1:14-19. Day Four begins under the Holy Spirit of Might. A place was made for man by forming the earth in the physical realm;[18] and there was "a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth."[19]

Christ was born of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and gave His life for man’s sin. Jesus rose from the grave with the keys of Hell and of Death[20] and sin forgiven those belonging to Him,[21] and God saw that it was good. With Jesus’ return at the end of Day Four, the heaven and the earth of Day Three take the physical realm, and no place is found for the earth and the heaven of Day Four.[22]

Genesis 1:20-23. Day Five is a day as a thousand years.[23] Under the Holy Spirit of Knowledge “the first resurrection”[24] occurs. The animals are created for “a new earth.”[25] God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:24-31. Day Six is a thousand years as a day;[26] under the Holy Spirit of the Fear of the LORD, man and animals are made in the new earth[27] and the Day of the Wrath of God[28] is come. God saw everything that He made, and, behold it was very good.

Genesis 2:1-3. The heaven and the earth are complete. The Holy Spirit of God the Father rests on Day Seven, the day “that there should be time no longer.”[29] Christ Jesus has His bride, the New Jerusalem, physically in His Kingdom for evermore.[30]

My Story

Footnoted verses from the King James Version of the Holy Bible.

[1] I Corinthians 3:11. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

[2] Isaiah 11:2. And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; Proverbs 8:12-14. I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions. The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength. Proverbs 8:22-31. The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when no fountains abounding with water.  Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I (The Holy Spirit) brought forth: While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world. When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth: When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep: When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth: Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him; Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men. Revelation 5:6. And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

[3] John 18:36. Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

[4] Genesis 1:1. In (Christ) the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. John 1:1-2. In the beginning was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God (The Holy Father), and the Word was God. The same (Holy Spirit) was in the beginning with God. Revelation 3:14. These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, (Christ) the beginning of the creation of God;

[5] Genesis 1:2. …and darkness was upon the face of the deep. Isaiah 14:12-15. How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. John 1:5. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. John 8:44. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. Revelation 2:13. …even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.

[6] Genesis 1:2. … and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Genesis 2:4. These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens (Day One), Revelation 17:15. And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore (Eve) sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. The Whore Babylon is the Eve of the Garden of Eden. Eve’s new identity as the Whore Babylon was her reward for capitulation with the serpent. There is support for this assumption in the book of Revelation. The similarity with Eve and the Whore Babylon is that both of these characters were referred to as the Mother of a class of individuals. Eve was labeled the mother of all living, Genesis 3:20,  and in Revelation 17:5 the Whore Babylon was labeled the mother of all harlots. Another similarity is that Whore Babylon and Eve were both seen as naked. Eve is seen as naked in Genesis 2:25 and the Whore Babylon is seen as naked in Revelation 17:16. A relationship between the two is compounded by the fact that they are both seen as widows, the Whore Babylon is widowed in Revelation 18:7 and Eve can be inferred to be a widow because the law was not given to her, only Adam, Genesis 2:16-17. So, death was Adam's punishment for sin and not Eve's, on Day One. Eve’s death occurs on Day Six as prophesied in Revelation 19:2 & 3. The similarities do not stop there. The Whore Babylon and Eve are the only two that are seen to have lusted for fruit. Eve lusted for the fruit in Genesis 3:6 and the Whore Babylon is said to have lusted for fruit in Revelation 18:14. Finally both of these characters are seen as having corrupted the earth. The Whore Babylon was said to have corrupted the earth in Revelation 19:2. Eve can be attributed the source for corrupting the earth in Genesis 3:6, because it was Eve’s decision that caused Adam to fall, which corrupted the earth as it is written in Genesis 3:17, 1st Timothy 2:13-14.

[7] Genesis 1:2. And the earth was without form (nothing) and void (empty)… “Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible

[8] Genesis 3:7. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked... II Corinthians 5:1-4. For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.

[9] Genesis 2:17. But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

[10] 1st Corinthians 15:45-47. And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

[11] Genesis 1:3-4. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it (Christ) was good: John 8:12. Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. Revelation 13:8.of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world… Revelation 17:8. ...whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world

[14] Revelation 6:4 is Day Two of the Creation week.

[15] Revelation 6:4 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let dry land appear: and it was so.

And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his (Christ’s) kind: and God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:29-30. And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. John 6:35. And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. Hebrews 5:12. For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

[17] Revelation 6:6 is Day Three of the Creation week.

[18] Genesis 1:14-19. And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the fourth day. Day Four, "today," is the Day in which the malefactor is with Christ Jesus in Paradise, as proclaimed by Jesus on the cross at Calvary. [24] Revelation 6:9-11 is concerning Day Five of the Creation week. “And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow servants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.”  Revelation 20:4-5 is speaking of Day Five of the Creation week, “and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. …This is the first resurrection.”

Revelation 21:1. And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

[26] 2nd Peter 3:8. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing … and a thousand years as one day. Revelation 18:8. Therefore shall her plagues come in one day. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.”

[29] Revelation 10:6. And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:
