Attention Anglers!
We hope that you
will participate in the 2nd annual fishing tournament to
benefit the High Point Volunteer Fire Company of Harvey Cedars
(Est. 1937). This fire company takes pride in earning most of its money from fundraisers such as: dinners, car washes, the Dog Day Race and a golf tournament to name a few.
We are now turning our fundraising attention to replacing HPVFC’s aging ladder truck. The new truck will service the needs of the company which has worked hard to fight fires and keep our community safe.
Our goal is to raise money towards the new truck while having a great day on the water followed by a fish fry, awards ceremony and a good old fashioned Harvey Cedars’ Hoot.
You will have the opportunity to support the cause while enjoying a great day of fishing and community spirit.
We hope that you will join us, and as always, we appreciate any support.

This is an All Tackle / All boat tournament From the time the fish strikes, a single angler must hook and fight the fish. The only help that he or she may recieve is in landing of the fish. All fish must be caught on captain's boat and must be from rod & reelWeigh-in time is 2 - 4:30pm (Verizon cell time) NO ALIBIS OR EXCUSESCaptains agree to donate all weighed fish for afternoon fish fry A member from every boat must be present at the Captain's Meeting on Fri, June 6th at 7:00pmSCORING
By weight & length as determined by current regulations of the state of New Jersey
Prizes will be awarded to the boats catching the top three heaviest fishWinners of prizes will be the registered owner of the boatOnly one cash prize per boat.DERBY COMMITTEE
Any discrepancy with regard to the weight or length of a fish must be registered
with the judge while the fish is on the scale. Once the fish has been removed
from the scale, that weight will be official.Incase of a tie in weight, the prize money will be awarded to the fish with the longer
length.The tournament will be a rain or shine event.The decision to fish or when to
fish will rest solely with the boats and their captain. In the event of severe
weather, the tournament committee will decide on postponing the event until the
following weekend by the close of the Captain's Meeting on June 6th.ANGLERS
