Important:

Everybody MUST sign this form before attending practice. Please print and sign the form, giving the required information.

Foreword:

Kickboxing is practiced here at FSU. Heavy bags, gloves, ropes, headgear and mitts are provided. Personal equipment like mouthpiece, groin/chest protector, wraps etc, are to be purchased by each club member in order to be able to practice and use the training facility.

You are welcome to come and practice on your own, find a sparring partner or look around and learn from existing members. There is no set coach. This club is intended for the somewhat experienced/independent practitioner. However, we work closely together and there is always something to learn from the others.

Conditioning:

One very important aspect of boxing/kickboxing is conditioning. You are expected to have fairly high stamina. We recommend you train your cardiovascular endurance separately and several times a week in order to be able to keep up with the others in here. Experience in boxing or martial arts is encouraged but not required. Being able to box well is one of the main differences between kickboxing and traditional martial arts.

Sparring:

Remember, kickboxing is a full contact sport. Sparring is encouraged but not required (of course) for all members. Sparring will only be conducted with adequate gear according to the Boxing/Kickboxing Associations guidelines. Sparring will NOT be conducted without protective gear (gloves, min 12oz, headgear, shin and kick pads).

Have fun and welcome to the Fight Club.
