I'm James Scariati, a graduate of Marist College with a degree in Digital Media. This website is my personal portfolio, and it contains nearly all of the graphic design work I've done since 2001, including logo design, photography, web design, and video work. For more information on my background and experience, see my résumé.
In November 2005, I became co-owner of XvsXP.com alongside Michael Moriarty, assuming control of the site from its prior owner, Dan Pouliot. The site was an extensive comparison of the two major consumer operating systems used at the time – Mac OS X 10.4 and Windows XP – and was regarded as one of the most in-depth and unbiased sources of its kind. It had been featured and discussed by multiple prominent sources, including TechTV, Apple, and Yahoo! News. In June 2007, we relaunched the site as Mac vs. Windows, converted it into a wiki that anyone can edit, and updated content for Mac OS X 10.5 and Windows Vista. You can read more about the site and its history on Wikipedia.
I also play keyboards and bass keys for FUNK 101, an R&B/funk band based in Poughkeepsie, NY. We released our first album, "Feels Like Funk!", in February 2006, and it is now available on CD Baby, the iTunes Store, Rhapsody, and eMusic. You can also check us out on MySpace, and view streaming videos of our performances on YouTube.
